Group/Family Therapy
Family therapy and group therapy are both talk treatments, sometimes referred to as ``psychotherapy.`` Both therapies are effective in helping patients deal with a wide range of conditions and difficulties, including anxiety, addiction, stress, bereavement, post-partum worries, communication troubles, and many more.
When several individuals with the same or comparable problems or challenges attend group therapy sessions conducted by a psychologist or mental health professional, this is known as group therapy. Participants in group therapy are often strangers who get together to exchange experiences and learn new methods or problem-solving solutions.
Family therapy is when members of a family go to counseling sessions with a psychologist or other mental health specialist to address a problem that has persisted in the family. Families that seek a therapist's assistance may have issues with communication, conflicts, or other difficulties that make it difficult for them to deal with.
